Margie Morgan Mercer January 6, 1934 – July 2, 2018 Margie Morgan Mercer, 84, of Wilson passed away Tuesday. Her funeral will be conducted 7 p.m. Thursday at Farmington Heights, 910 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Her son, Rev. Dale Morgan and Rev. LaVon Phillips will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Farmington Heights and other times at the home of Elbert and Barbara Hawkins. Margie is survived by her daughters, Gail Linker and husband, Craig of Trent Woods, and Vickie Roberson of New Bern; son, Dale Morgan and wife, Marcie of Hillsborough; grandchildren, Michelle, Brittany, Brian, Stacey, Alan, and Crystal; thirteen great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Barbara Hawkins and Betty Oakey both of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Morgan; second husband, Cecil Mercer; sisters, Linda Williams and Jean Pearson, and her brothers, Bobby, Mack, Jimmy and Johnny.
