Maria Rose Piccione

Maria “Mary” Rose Piccione April 24, 1928 – October 25, 2017 Maria “Mary” Rose Piccione, 89, of Wilson passed away Wednesday. Her memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. The Rev. Cliff Lewin will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Mary was known for her volunteerism in her community, was a prayer warrior, and was especially known for her kindness and love for others. Mary had a tremendous fighting spirit for life. Mary is survived by her daughter, Nina Piccione Hocutt of Wilson; sons, Peter Piccione of Charleston, South Carolina and Tal Piccione and wife, Lena of Upper Saddle River, New Jersey; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patric Piccione and a daughter, Lauranne Piccione Byrne. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be directed to the Pregnancy Center, 702 W.
