January 25, 1932 -July 19, 2013

Marie Thorne Deans, 81, of Middlesex passed away Friday.   Funeral services will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home.   A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday in Bailey Town Cemetery.   The Rev. Billy Toler will officiate.

The family will receive friends Sunday immediately following the service at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at the home of Barbara's.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Barbara Deans Honeycutt of Middlesex and Tammy Deans Windham of Bailey; her grandsons, Waylon Deans of Zebulon, Donovan Brantley of Zebulon and Danny Manning of Lucama; her great-granddaughter, Haleigh Davis of Lucama; her sisters, Doris Owens of Norfolk, VA and   Vickie Narron of Kenly, and her brother, Wayne Hopkins of Knightdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Braxton Deans; her son, Brooks Deans and her brothers, Kenneth Thorne and Autry Thorne.
