Marion Hughes Darden, 79, of Stantonsburg passed away Thursday.  His funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday in Stantonsburg Methodist Church, 300 Main Street, Stantonsburg.   Interment will follow in Stantonsburg Town Cemetery.   The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway.   Hughes is survived by his wife, Martha Anne Batts Darden; his daughter, Susan Darden Mores and husband, Gregory James of Rocky Mount; his granddaughter, Virginia Anne Mores of Rocky Mount and his sister, Mary Darden Miller of Greensboro.   He was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia Anne Darden.   Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to the Stantonsburg Methodist Church, PO Box 6, Stantonsburg, NC  27883.   Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
