Marjorie Smith Moore November 30, 1924 – September 16, 2016 Marjorie Smith Moore, 91, of Wilson passed away Friday. Her memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. The Rev. Steve Strickland will officiate. Interment will follow at a later date. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Marjorie is survived by her sons, Eric Moore of Pinehurst, Aubrey Moore of Wilson, and David Moore and wife, Joanie of Wilson; her grandchildren, Josh Moore, Betsy Berndt and husband, Martin, Amy Boyette and husband, Dan, and David Moore, Jr. and wife, Joy; seven great grandchildren, and her sister, Jean Pittman of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon “Bud” Frank Moore, Jr. and her parents, Robert and Sadie Dunn Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marjorie’s honor are directed to the Alzheimer’s of North Carolina, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, North Carolina 27609.
