Martha T. Culvahouse
December 24, 1948 – October 29, 2019
Martha T. Culvahouse, 70, of Wilson passed away Tuesday. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 2 – 3 p.m. with her funeral services following at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The Rev. Gary Combs.
Martha was a member of Wilson Community Church. She loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas, which was her favorite time of the year. Martha was retired from the City of Wilson.
Martha is survived by her loving husband of forty-nine years, William Hugh Culvahouse of the home; daughters, Donna Baker of Wilson and Jeannie Mercer and husband, Dean of Lucama; son, William Hugh Culvahouse, Jr. and Beth Groff of Little Washington; grandchildren, Samantha Culvahouse, Kristin Joyner Herrera and husband, Juan, Trey Baker, Rebecca Culvahouse, Emily Bailey, Joshua Baker, Taner Culvahouse and William Mercer; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Kelly and Noah; sister, Kim Price of Tarboro; her brother, Steven Taylor of Mechanicsville, Virginia and Daisy and Sassy her favorite companions.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Gladys Taylor; sisters, Sharon Boyd and Kathy Mayhew and her brothers, J.C. Taylor and Richard Taylor.
