Martha Anne Batts Darden

Martha Anne Batts Darden, 84, of Rocky Mount, passed away Thursday. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Stantonsburg Town Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Whitley will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Susan Mores and husband, Gregory; granddaughter, Virginia Anne Mores; brother, Jim Batts and wife, Jeanette; nephew, Jamie Batts and niece, Ashley Batts.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marion Hughes Darden; parents, James and Roberta Batts; and daughter, Virginia Anne Darden.

The family would like to express their thanks to her sitter, Mary Della Richardson for eight years of sincere love and care.
