Marvin Hugh Boykin, 77, of Wilson passed away peacefully at home on Monday.  Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.  The Rev. Dr. Doug Murray and Rev. Steve Clayton will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Marvin is survived by his wife, Shelby Stancil Boykin of the home; his daughters, Wanda Boykin McGhee and husband, Tommy of Rolesville and Michelle Boykin Smith and husband, Kevin of Wilson; his grandsons, Blair Thomas McGhee of Rolesville and Tyler Boykin Smith of Wilson and his nephews, Don Jones, Gerald Jones, Anthony Jones and Richard Byles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Neta Parker Boykin and his sisters, Jessie Byles and Lois Jones.
