Mary Ellen Wells Gardner September 10, 1949 – July 30, 2020 Mary Ellen Wells Gardner, 70 of Selma passed away Thursday. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Wayne Whitley will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 – 7 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Mary is survived by her loving husband of thirty-five years, Burkett Gardner of the home; daughter, Lynn Waugaman; son, Glenn Oakey; step-son, Steven Gardner; granddaughters, Cortney Keen, Tayler Waugaman and Abby Gardner; grandsons, Dylan Gardner and Tanner Gardner; great-granddaughter, Avery Pressley and great-grandson, Brayden Pressley.
