Mary LeGwin Brock

Mary LeGwin Lamm Brock, 69, passed away Friday May 6, 2022. A native of Wilson, she was the daughter of Riddick Madison Lamm and Mary LeGwin Wooten Lamm. She married her soul mate Larry Wayne Brock and they danced happily together for over fifty years. Gwin was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church and a long-time volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels. Gwin loved beautiful flowers and plants and enjoyed sending them to family and friends. Yellow roses were her very favorite. She had a special bond with children and helped raise many. Gwin was devoted to her family, friends and furry children especially John Henry and Lucy. She was an avid Tarheel fan.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Brock; sister, Eliza Lamm Gauss (Harry); brothers, Riddick Madison Lamm (Sarah Anne), and Rudson Wooten Lamm (Martha); sister-in-law, Joyce Brock Lindsey; brother-in-law Ronnie Brock and many special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, West, Wilson on Monday, May 9^th, 6-8 PM. A graveside service in Maplewood Cemetery will be Tuesday, May 10^th at 11:00 AM.
