Frances was born in Wilson County to the late George W. and Dillie W. Williams and was the oldest of twelve children. She will be remembered as a loving and generous mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister and friend to all she met. She drove race cars, played golf and excelled at basketball in her teenage years. The bible was her favorite book, she loved family outings, created beautiful country curtains as a seamstress, and was a lover of antiques.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan; her sons, Hewitt and James; her sisters, Brenda Woodruff and Faye Gordon; and her brothers, Donnie and Eli Williams. The Poland family would like to extend our gratitude to Avante of Wilson for their attentiveness and loving care.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ed Poland and her parents, George and Dillie Williams.
Flowers are welcome.
