Melinda Lindsey Futch March 15, 1959 - November 6, 2016 Melinda Lindsey Futch, 57, of Lucama passed away Sunday. Her funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. The Rev. Ray Barnhill will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 – 1:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Melinda is survived by her husband, Robert Futch of the home; her daughter, Tabitha Roger and husband, Richard of Elm City; her son, Robert Futch, Jr. of Wilson; her granddaughters, Alexi Rogers, Kayla Rogers, and Abagail Rogers; her sisters, Judy Wilson of Bailey, Brenda Lindsey of Wilson, Kay Perry and husband, James of Wilson, Tracey McClean and husband, Craig of Wilson, and Karen Andrews of Bailey; and her brothers, Randy Lindsey and wife, Linda of Wilson, and Dennis Lindsey of Middlesex. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Van Lindsey and Eula Gray Lindsey; her grandmother, Penny Matthews and a close family friend, Charles Munday.
