Melissa Ann Caballero

Melissa Ann Caballero, age 49, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023, at ECU Health Center in Greenville.   She was born in Wayne County on January 27, 1974. 

She was the manager of the local Papa Johns and loved sports. She was a huge fan of the Carolina Tarheels, Carolina Panthers, and the Chicago Cubs. Her hobbies consisted of spending free time with her kids and her grandkids, playing games, and spending time at the park. Her favorite places to go were Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and the beach, where she would go to get away and have peaceful family time and enjoy the view. Melissa loved old school hip-hop music, but you could also find her singing to Bon Jovi while driving down the road. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Lee Cordell. 

Melissa is survived by her husband, Gerardo Juarez Reyes; three sons, Hector Caballero and wife, Amber Caballero, Erik Caballero, and Alex Juarez; one daughter, Kayla Juarez, and two grandsons, Corey Caballero and Anthony Caballero.
