Meredith M. Griswold October 4, 1935 – April 10, 2018 Meredith M. Griswold, 82, of Wilson went to be with the Lord on Tuesday. His funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 1407 Forest Hills Road, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Rev. Jon Long will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 12 – 1:45 p.m. at Forest Hills Baptist Church, Wilson, and other times at the home. Meredith was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a former member of the Forest Hills Baptist Hymn Choir, and enjoyed playing slide guitar and dobro at local nursing homes. Meredith loved his church family and friends. Meredith is survived by his wife, Carolyn Clark Griswold of the home; daughters, Sherry Forschen and husband, Greg of Alaska, and Elaine Long and husband, Jon of Youngsville; son, David Griswold and wife, Bonnie of Wilson; grandchildren, Jennifer Long, Elizabeth Long, Benjamin Griswold, and Abby Griswold; sister, Rita Griswold of Burlington, and brothers, Tony Griswold and wife, Teresa of Jamestown, Terry Griswold and wife, Candace of Snow Camp, and Robin Griswold and wife, Dawn of Burlington. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to the Forest Hills Baptist Church, 1407 Forest Hills Road, Wilson, North Carolina 27896.
