Michael Charles Wilson, Sr. September 15, 1958 – November 12, 2017 Michael Charles Wilson, Sr., 59, of Sims passed away Sunday. His memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home of Matt. Charles served his country with honor and pride with the US Marines. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Charles was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Charles is survived by his wife, Lori Ann Wilson of the home; his daughter, Michelle W. Kitchen and husband, Adam of Wilson; his sons, Michael C. Wilson, Jr., of Sims, Richard C. Wilson and wife, Ashley M. of Wilson, and Matt E. Wilson and wife, Ashley C. of Sims; his grandchildren, Gary, Jennifer, Mercedes, Alyssia, Tristen, Emma, Jacob, Kailey, Logan, Isabella, and Aaron; his mother, Nancy G. Bunn and her friend, Donnie Davis of Sims; his sisters, Doris Baker and husband, Dail of Mt. Olive, and Lori Lancaster and husband, Doug of Goldsboro; several loving nieces and nephews, and his special friends and their families from the military, Jerry and Dee Young, Jeff and Connie Schnepf, and Rick and Lillian Alvers.
