Mildred Ruffin Bass

Mildred Ruffin Bass August 30, 1927 – January 15, 2016 Mildred Ruffin Bass, 88, of Apex passed away Friday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. The Rev. Robert Bergland will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Mildred loved to work in her yard and grow beautiful flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. Mildred was a great and sweet lady that will be missed very much and thought of often. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Joyce Bass of Fuquay Varina; her son, David Bass and fiancé, Jeanine Brown of Apex, and Bud Bass of Wilson; her grandson, Les Bass and wife, Beth of Elm City, and Hettie, her beloved dog who was her pride and joy.
