Mildred Baker Evans, 80, of Wilson passed away Monday. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Joe Shakour will officiate. The family will receive friends 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Thursday prior to service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Mildred was a longtime member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Mildred is survived by her daughters, Pattie Miller Mildon and husband, Ed of Franklinton and Mildred Jennifer Evans and canine companion, Chester of Wilson; her granddaughters, Hillary Jackson of Wilson and Haley Chambers and husband, David of Stantonsburg; her grandson, Helms Miller Dixon of Franklinton; her one great-granddaughter; her brother, Franklin Ivey “Bud” Baker and wife, Nancy of Wilson and her sister, Neta Baker Eatmon and husband, Bobby of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norwood Lee and Pattie Mae Holloman Baker.
