Mildred Joyce Baines Kurzawski

February 12, 1942 – July 18, 2014

Mildred Joyce Baines Kurzawski, 72, of Wilson passed away Friday.  Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Peace FWB Church, 2838 Tilghman Road, Wilson.  Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.  The Rev. Rusty Russell and the Rev. Bobby Fletcher will officiate. The family will receive friends 7 – 9 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at the home. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a friend to all that knew her.  She will be thought of often with memories that will bring joy and she will be greatly missed every day. Joyce is survived by her husband of forty-one years, Kenneth “Ken” Howard Kurzawski of the home; her daughter, Kimberly Terry and husband, Jason of Wilson; her sons, Marty Johnson and wife, Cathy, Danny Johnson and wife, Missy and Johnny Kurzawski and fiancée, Fran Poole all of Wilson; her six grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; her sisters, Diane Flowers of Wilson and Elaine Price of Louisburg and her brothers, John Baines of Spring Hope and Rick Baines of Orlando, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Beatrice Mae Baines and her brothers, Bobby Baines, Bill Baines and Frankie Baines. Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
