Mildred Jenkins Mooring

Mildred Jenkins Mooring, 89, of Elm City passed away on Sunday, July 2.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 5 at 10:00 am at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Elm City, NC, South Railroad Street.  Reverend Wayne Whitley will officiate.

Mildred was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Wilson, NC.

Mildred is survived by her sons, Jeffrey C. Mooring and his wife, Teresa of Ephrata, Pennsylvania and Danny K. Mooring of Elm City; brother, Thomas Jenkins of Elm City; grandsons, Ryan Mooring and wife, Courtney of Wilson, NC, Brett “Ridge” Mooring of Macon, NC, Mitchell Mooring of Garner, NC, and Blake Mooring and wife, Erin of Nash County; and great-grandchildren, Ava Mooring, Alex Mooring, and Blake Mooring, Jr.

Mildred was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Clayton F. Mooring; parents, Clifton Jenkins and Aurita Saunders Jenkins of Elm City; and brothers, Charles Jenkins and Randolph Jenkins of Elm City.
