Minnie Earle Morris Barnes
March 4, 1919 – October 29, 2020
Minnie Earle Morris Barnes, 101 of Wilson passed away Thursday. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Ray Barnhill will officiate.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 – 6 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Minnie was retired after twenty-nine years of service with First Union National Bank. She was a wonderful person, a loving daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.
Minnie is survived by her daughter, Ann Barnes Lamm and husband, Fred of Greenville, South Carolina; son, Thomas “Tommy” Earl Barnes and wife, Carol of Wilson; grandchildren, Marsha Fisher and husband, Jackie, Melody Minedeo and husband, Lou, Wanda Merling and husband, Brad, Shannon Wright and Kendall Parks and husband, Lee; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Muskopf of Belleville, Illinois and brother, W.C. “Shorty” Morris of Largo, Florida.
