Mitchell Glover Williams December 19, 1944 – November 24, 2020 Mitchell “Mickey” Glover Williams, 75 of Sims passed away Tuesday. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Glover Family Cemetery, Sims. The Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate. Mickey was retired from Zelenka Nursery in Sims. He loved cutting grass, yardwork and tinkering on machinery. His granddaughters were the apple of his eyes and they lovingly called him “Pa”. Mitchell was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Mickey is survived by his daughters, Rhonda W. Hawley (Ricky) and Michele Williams; granddaughters, Taylor Hawley (fiancé’ Tyler) and Caroline Hawley; sisters, Libby Thompson, Diane Gardner, Gail Moss and Joan Lucas (Jeff); brother, Roland Williams (Connie); his special friend, Lou Ferrell and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roland Edgar Williams, Sr. and Daphney Glover Williams; brother, Dolphus “Buddy” Williams and his niece, Tracy Thompson.
