Myrtle Moore Joyner
July 27, 1930 – March 4, 2017
Myrtle Joyner, 86, of Wilson passed away Saturday. Her funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bible Missionary Baptist Church, 2833 Tilghman Road, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. David Barnes will officiate.
The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the family home.
Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Joyce Joyner Hardison and husband, Buck of Elm City; her sons, Dennis Ray Joyner and Jeffrey Wayne Joyner and wife, Susan of Wilson; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and her brother, Ray Humphrey of Greensboro.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-six years, T. Ray Joyner; parents, Ethel Barringon Moore and Clarence Lane Moore; sisters, Helen Hinson and Lucille DeMilio, and her brothers, Paige Moore, Roland Moore, Teddy Moore, Ernest “Sambo” Moore, Harold “Pete” Moore, Robert Moore, and Johnny Moore.
