Myung Hak Kim, 83, of Wilson, passed away June 3 at home from multiple myeloma. He was born May 6, 1938 in Pyongyang, Korea and was predeceased by his parents, Seong and Sung Kim. Myung is survived by his wife, Sook Cha Kim; his son Young Kyoon Kim (wife, Jennifer Carr Kim), her son Bradley Carr Prosser (Partner, Wendy Aves) and family pets Louie, Emmy, Walter and Barlow. He is also survived by three sisters and two brothers and their families in Seoul, Taejon and Inchon, South Korea.
Myung enjoyed carpentry, home improvement, fishing, gardening, playing the piano and singing in church choirs. Myung and Sook Cha joined others as founding members of a Korean Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, Va.
His family wishes to show their appreciation for the outstanding support offered by Community Home Care and Hospice of Wilson (Kindred at Home).
Myung will be interred on Wednesday, June 22, at 2:00 at National Memorial Park and King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, Virginia.
