Nellie J. Howell March 18, 1926 – September 30, 2021 Nellie Joyner Howell, 95 of Wilson passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021, in Springhill Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 7335 Springfield Road, Lucama. Rev. Joe Shakour will officiate. Friends are welcome to come Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 9 – 5 at Joyner’s Funeral Home for in an informal visitation. Nellie was a charter member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. A member of American Legion Auxiliary and past Chaplin for many years. Nellie is survived by her daughters, Donna Fountain and husband, Jim of Wilson, and Linda Harrison and husband, RS of Bailey; granddaughters, Angela Fountain of Cary, Renee Enterline and husband, Chris of Wake Forest; grandson, Trey Harrison and wife, Rachel of Greensboro; great-granddaughter, Ruth Harrison; great-grandsons, Cole and Riley Harrison, and several loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milford J. Howell and her parents, John and Mary Joyner.
