Norris William "Bill" Hendrix III

We are sad to announce the death of Norris William “Bill” Hendrix, III, who passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on October 19, 2023, at the age of 76.  He will be dearly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

He loved rooting for his alma mater Georgia Tech, telling “Dad jokes”, and his family.  Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Peggy; his four children, Stephani Hendrix, Allison Whitaker (Chris), Kathryn Lamm, and Michael Hendrix (Jen). He was also a proud Papa to his grandchildren, Keesha Burgess (Hunter), Keri Witcher, Amanne Thompson (Daniel), Amanda Torres (JP), Mackenzie Whitaker, Connor Livingston, Peyton Whitaker Maddox (Hayden), Mollie Lamm, Jaxon Whitaker, Megan Lamm, and Madea Hendrix; and six great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brother, Robert Hendrix.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris William Hendrix, Jr and Evelyn Hendrix; his brothers, Keith Hendrix and Richard Hendrix, and his grandson Jordan Alexander Mubaydin.

We would love for you to come and honor his life on Sunday, October 22, 2023, service to start at 6:15 pm with the family receiving friends at 5:00 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
