Owen Webster Franks, “Kilroy”, 68, of Wilson passed away Friday. His funeral service will be conducted 6 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Major Jim McGee, of the Salvation Army, will officiate.
The family will receive friends Monday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.
Owen is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Beverly Diane Franks of the home; his daughter, Wendy Franks Gaskins and husband, Tony of Greenville; his son, Gregory Webster Franks and wife, Ana of Indian Trail; his grandsons, Jordan Gregory Franks and Jeremy Owen Franks and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton Webster Franks and Margie Lee Franks; his sisters, Dorothy “Faye” Howell and Brenda J. Joyner, and his brother, Elton Ray Franks.
Flowers are welcome or memorials in Owen’s honor to the Salvation Army, PO Box 96, Wilson, NC 27894.
