Patricia Joyner Gardner

Patricia Joyner Gardner, 84 of Elm City passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023.  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Pastor Chris Harris and Pastor Erik Palmberg will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Patricia worked at Atlantic Christian College and BB&T Travel.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.  Patricia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Sherry Gardner Harrell; son, Randy Gardner; granddaughter, Caitlin Harrell; grandson, Clay Harrell; sisters, Janice Pridgen, and May Gardner; a host of several loving nieces and nephews and her special great-nieces, Payton Smalley and Erika Smalley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Gardner; parents, Medie and Maybelle Joyner; sister, Romaine Joyner, and her brothers, Durwood Joyner, Bursie Joyner, and Buck Joyner.
