Patricia Robinson Kury
September 12, 1941 – May 1, 2016
Patricia Robinson Kury went to heaven on Sunday, May 1, 2016. She was born in Malvern, Iowa on September 12, 1941. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11a.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, North Carolina 27609 and a celebration of her life will be held immediately after.
She is survived by three beloved (almost perfect, slightly strong willed) daughters and four completely perfect grandchildren; Jill Lamm (Jerry) of Columbus, Ohio, their children, Will and Livy; Jody Hill (Joe) of Raleigh, their son, Tucker; Jamie Thompson (Greg) of Wilmington, and their daughter, Ella; one sister and two brothers, Jane (John) Lind of Indianapolis, Indiana, Charles (Jackie) Robinson of Ocean Isle Beach, and Lawrence Robinson (Cindy) of Salisbury, Maryland. And by what seems like hundreds of nieces and nephews and too many second children to count.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Hazel Robinson and her oldest brother, Francis Richard (Dick) Robinson.
Patty was blessed with a true ability to love and to give, that’s what she did throughout her life and career. She took care of those that needed it. She was known to many as Miss Pat or Miss Patty. Her daughters and her family will miss her so much. Her laugh made everyone around her join in and she had a good time no matter what situation she found herself in. She was our sunshine and on some days she was our Henrietta (her name when she had been called Mom just one too many times!) Patty also loved all creatures, great and small (well all except for mice and a certain President…) she especially loved her kitty-grandbabies as she called them. She always remarked that they had the best conversations.
In lieu of flowers, her family is honored by and grateful for donations to Safe Haven Cat Shelter in her memory so that more people can be blessed with kitty-grandbabies, Safe Haven Cat Shelter, 8431 Garvey Drive, #137 Raleigh, North Carolina 27616 or Safehavenforcats.org.
Jill, Jody and Jamie would like to thank everyone at Kobacker Hospice in Columbus, Ohio. In their care, she received an abundance of love just like the abundance of love and care she showered on others her whole life.
