Patricia Alston Stillman September 30, 1946 – September 3, 2014

Patricia “Pat” Alston Stillman, 67, of Wilson passed away peacefully at home Wednesday morning surrounded by her family. She was born September 30, 1946 in Windsor N.C. to the late Henry and Louise Lane Alston.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 6th at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, with Rev. Brian Tippett officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.

A visitation will be held at Joyner’s Funeral Home Friday, September 5th from 6:00 -8:00. At other times the family will receive visitors at the residence.

She was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother. Pat was a gentle woman with a quiet strength who loved to tend her flower garden and spend time with family and friends. An avid N.C. State fan, she was supportive of her husband and son’s weekend tailgate festivities. She took great joy in hearing all about the excitement, the food and the winning score.

Pat graduated from UNC Greensboro with an Associate Degree in business and then joined the Bridgestone/Firestone family. Pat retired in 2012 from Bridgestone/Firestone after 35 years of dedicated service. Pat was an active supporter and Secretary of the Wilson Humane Society. She was a member and faithful attender of Peace Church. She enjoyed her weekly Bible study and spending time with her church girls.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lynn Stillman, her son Steve Stillman and wife Erika, her grandchildren Nicholas and Ashley-Joyce, her sister Laurie (Lee) Jennings of Elizabeth City, and her brother Henry Graham Alston of Windsor. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Louise Alston and a nephew, David Jennings.
