September 6, 1957 – January 21, 2014

 Paul Butler Hawkins, 56, of Wilson passed away Tuesday.  The family will receive friends Thursday 6 – 8 p.m. at 112 N.E. Rountree Street, Wilson. Paul was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to all that knew him.  He was greatly loved and will be missed by all that knew him.  He graduated from Fike High School in 1975 and from NCSU in 1979.  Paul loved fishing, music and the Carolina Hurricanes. Paul is survived by his parents, Nathan and Frankie Hawkins of Wilson; his sisters, Kathie Hawkins Gros and husband, Ades of Wilson and Ashley Hawkins Bruesch and husband, John of Wilson; his niece, Ashley Kathryn Skinner and husband, Jason of Wilson; his nephew, Johnathan Blake Talton of Greenville and his great nephew, Dixon Marshall Skinner of Wilson. In lieu of flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105 or to the charity of one’s choice.
