Peggy Davis Mooring

Peggy Davis Mooring February 14, 1936 – December 29, 2018 Peggy Davis Mooring, 82, of Middlesex passed away Saturday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Phil Hawley and Rev. Jeff Dail will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of her son, Kevin. Peggy was an awesome mom, pastor’s wife, grandma, prayer warrior, aunt and a friend to all who knew her. Her family was her life. Peggy is survived by her sons, Rev. Kevin Mooring and wife, Amy of Pikeville and Frank Mooring and wife, Gaby of Mexico; grandchildren, Tracey Haynes and husband, Brian, Caleb Mooring, Camden Mooring, Andrea Castro Castañeda and Alejandra Castro Castañeda and her great-grandchildren, Ethan Haynes and Emma Haynes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Elmer R. Mooring; parents, Frank Rgo and Gertrude Minshew Davis, and her siblings, Lois Norman, Hazel Waddell, Lawton Davis, Norwood Davis and Thurman Davis.
