Purvis Bissette

Purvis Bissette March 24, 1927 – December 29, 2015 Purvis Bissette, 88, of Middlesex passed away Tuesday. His memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. The Rev. David Barnes will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Purvis is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Julia Ann Taylor Bissette of the home; his daughter, Becky Lewis and husband, Lu Harvey of Middlesex, and his grandchildren, Andrew Lewis and Taylor Lewis both of Middlesex. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to be made in Purvis’ honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, North Carolina 27605 or to WilMed Hospice, 1705 Tarboro Street S, Wilson, North Carolina 27896.
