Rabon D. Manning

Rabon D. Manning March 19, 1938 – July 15, 2018 Rabon D. Manning, 80, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. A graveside service will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Rabon lived his life in Bailey and started his career as a plumber with Fred Smith Plumbing for nine years. As owner and operator of Manning Plumbing Company for fifty years, he worked until his health failed on June 18, 2018. Rabon was a retired volunteer Fireman from the Bailey Green Hornet Fire Department. Rabon is survived by his sons, Nathan Manning of Wilson and Dennis Manning of Greenville, his grandchildren, Jonathan Manning and wife, Ina, of Wilson, Brilea Manning and Garris Manning both of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Tarra Manning, Ella Manning, and Brooke Manning all of Wilson; his brother, Alton Manning of Sims, and his fur partner, Miss Kitty of the home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mira Manning and brothers, Bill and Jimmie Manning. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Rex Hospital, EMS, Home Health and his friends and loved ones that shared love, compassion and other acts of kindness.
