Randall Ray Pennington October 25, 1946 – February 3, 2016 Randall Ray Pennington, 69, of Newport passed away Wednesday. His memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The Rev. Jeffrey Banks will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday evening following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, and other times at 3620 London Church Road NE, Elm City. Randall is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Phyllis Weaver Pennington of the home; his daughter, Penny Pennington Hill; his son, Randall Ray Pennington, Jr. and wife, Cassie of Richlands; his grandchildren, Christopher Shayne Matthews, Joshua Brooks Matthews and Kawen Drew Pennington; his mother, Julia Baker Pennington of Wilson; his brother, Carl B. Pennington, Jr. and wife, Alice of Elm City, and his special pets, Lacey and Betsy.
