Rayford Cecil Tomlinson
January 5, 1971 – July 31, 2015
Ray “Bull” Tomlinson, 44, of Kenly, passed away Friday. His funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at the Kenly Pentecostal Holiness Church, 300 S. College Avenue, Kenly. The Rev. Daniel Rollins will officiate.
The family will receive friends 6 – 9 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.
“Bull” was a loving husband, father, step-father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He joined the Wilson County Sherriff’s Department on his 21st birthday, January 5, 1992. “Bull” was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He will be thought of often with memories that will bring smiles and warm the heart.
“Bull” is survived by his loving wife, Christie Winstead Tomlinson of the home; his son, William Dakota Tomlinson of Kenly; his step-children, Kaitlin Joyner, Ryan Vaughan and Matthew Vaughan; his parents, Robert and Jean Tomlinson of Kenly; his sisters, Robyn Yeomans of Georgia and Ginger DeLario and husband, Jeff of Mebane; his brothers, Bobby Tomlinson of Maury and Bryan Tomlinson and wife, Ronda of Michigan, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in “Bull’s” honor to the National Law Enforcement Officers, Memorial Fund Office, 901 E Street, NW, Suite 100, Washington, DC 20004-2025.
