Raymond Edward Denton, Jr. February 24, 1952 – June 19, 2014

Raymond Edward Denton, Jr., 62, of Wilson passed away Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 12 noon until 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, and other times will be at the home of Kaye Lamm.

Raymond was the owner/operator of Denton’s, Inc.

Surviving are his wife, Faye Thorne Denton of the home; one daughter, Kaye Denton Lamm of Wilson; one son, Ray Denton of Wilson; five grandchildren, Caleb Lamm, Tanner Denton, Peyton Denton, Cassie Lamm, and Cole Denton; his mother, Reba Denton of Wilson; one sister, Sue Denton of Wilson; and three brothers, Vance Denton, David Denton, and Mark Denton, all of Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond E. Denton, Sr.
