Raymond Anthony Pittman
January 22, 1963 - June 18, 2020
Raymond Anthony Pittman 57, of Wilson passed away Thursday. His funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. The Rev Bob Rose will officiate.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Raymond was retired from the State Highway Division “DOT” after serving thirty years, enjoying the rest of his time working with Joyner and Keeny of Rocky Mount. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer and a member of Evansdale United Methodist Church. Raymond was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to all that knew him, he will be greatly missed and thought of often with loving memories.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of twenty-five years, Barbara Hayes Pittman of the home; daughter, Hope Parrish Jenkins and husband, Joseph of Lucama; son, Robbie Amerson and wife, Joddy of Nashville; his mother, Geraldine Holloman Pittman of Rock Ridge; granddaughter, Maggie Amerson; grandsons, Dustin Bryant and Mitchell Amerson; and his sister, Wendy Hare and husband, Michael of Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie “Bill” Raymond Pittman.
