Rebecca Braswell Gardner, 94, of Wilson passed away Sunday.-Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner-s Funeral Home.-Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Gaylord Lehman will officiate.

The family will receive friends 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner-s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway.

Rebecca was a longtime member of Bethany Presbyterian Church where she served in many capacities.-Rebecca was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.-She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Rebecca is survived by her son, James A. Gardner and wife, Joelda W. of Conyers, GA; her daughter-in-law, Patricia -Pat- Gardner of Wilson; her grandsons, J. Michael Gardner and wife, Donna of Marietta, GA, William Gardner and wife, Andrea of Dover, DE and Jeffrey W. Gardner and wife, Tessa of Atlanta, GA; her granddaughter, Donna Tucker and husband, Shawn of Winston Salem, NC and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Elmo Lee Gardner and her son, Philip Lee Gardner.
