Rev. Daniel Alton Mayo January 10, 1966 – August 25, 2020 Rev. Daniel Alton Mayo, 54 of Kenly passed away Tuesday. His funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Saratoga Holiness Church, 8307 Rebecca Street, Saratoga. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Lonnie Humphrey and Rev. Tommy Newcomb will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 -8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Rev. Daniel loved to fish, his family and he served the Lord with his whole heart. He was a member of Saratoga Holiness Church. Rev. Daniel was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to all who knew him, he will be dearly missed and thought of often with loving memories. Rev. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Godwin Mayo of the home; daughters, Jennifer Mayo of Burlington and fiancé, Stephen Barnes and Jessica Mayo Griffin and husband, Daniel of Alaska; sons, Daniel Thomas Mayo, Walter Mayo and Troy Mayo all of the home; eight grandchildren; parents, Dennis and Dorothy Mae Newcomb Mayo of Bailey; sister, Tonya Mayo R. and Shane of Bunn and his brothers, Kevin Mayo and wife, Rebecca of Lucama and Dennis Michael Mayo of Bailey.
