Jesse Barnes Horne
April 8, 1932 – October 22, 2018
Rev. Jesse Barnes Horne, 86, of Wilson passed away peacefully Monday surrounding by his family. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Black Creek Town Cemetery, Black Creek. The Rev. Marvin Smith will officiate.
The family receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Rev. Horne faithfully served his God for fifty years and led many people to follow the faith of Jesus. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. Rev. Horne
will be cherished in the hearts of many.
Rev. Horne is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Annie Lee Bryant Horne of the home; daughter, Diane Wilson and husband, Steve of Kenly; son, Jesse B. Horne, Jr. and wife, Deborah of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brad Lee Walker of Lucama and Andrew Horne of Tennessee and one great-grandchild, Waylon Lee Walker of Lucama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Jesse and Leslie Barnes Horne and his sister, Shirley Crocker.
