William Dail Tyndall
December 12, 1926 – November 4, 2016
Reverend William Dail Tyndall, 89, of Wilson passed away Friday. His memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Bible Missionary Baptist Church, 2833 Tilghman Road N, Wilson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The Rev. David Barnes will officiate.
Reverend Tyndall lived a life that was blessed and he served his Lord faithfully through the many lives that he supported by showing them grace and compassion through their difficult times with his counseling of the youth, couples with a marriage that needed saving, people who lost a loved one, and any lost soul that needed to be lead to Jesus. He was a retired Baptist Church Reverend where he served many churches in Eastern North Carolina. Rev. Tyndall was a Chaplain with the Wilson Sanatorium, Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, Louisiana Technical Institute and he worked in administration with Carteret Technical College and Wilson Community College. Rev. Tyndall was a WWII Veteran with the U.S. Navy where he served his country with honor. Rev. Tyndall was a graduate of Wake Forest University and received a seminary degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also earned his master’s degree in Counseling from East Carolina University.
Rev. Tyndall is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Betty Tyndall of the home; his daughters, Missy Tyndall Yelton and husband, Rod of Winston-Salem, and Molly Tyndall Robinson of Richmond, Virginia; his sons, Kirby Ashley Tyndall and wife, Carol of Asheville, and Paul Robert Tyndall and wife, Sandy of Wilmington; his granddaughters, Ashley T. Griffin and husband, Rob, Katie Tyndall, Taylor A. Bilbro, Peyton L. Harrell and husband, Ryan, Missy Ann Yelton, Lindsey Ellen Robinson, and Hannah Lucia Robinson; his grandsons, Joshua Rogers Tyndall and wife, Leigh, and Thomas Bryant Yelton; his great-granddaughter, Natalie Summer Griffin; and Vicki Tolston Boykin who was like a daughter.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bryant Dail Tyndall, and his sisters, Geraldine Garner, and Zeta Mae Roberts.
