Reverend Jonas Larry Letchworth December 20, 1940 – June 29, 2020 Reverend Jonas Larry Letchworth, 79 of Pinetops passed away Monday, June 29, 2020. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Harmony Free Will Baptist Church, 409 Atlantic Christian College Road, Wilson. Interment will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park, 2879 US 258, Tarboro. The Rev. Keith Cobb and Travis Nines will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 – 9 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Jonas is survived by his wife, Margaret McKeel Letchworth of the home; daughters, Loretta Letchworth of Macclesfield, Angela Letchworth of Greenville and Julie Nines of Rocky Mount; son, Jonas Larry Letchworth, Jr. of Macclesfield; grandchildren, Stacy Peele, Derek Peele, Kenzy Nines, Hunter Nines, Georgia Nines, Elijah Nines, Miranda Nines, Josiah Nines, Alayna Nines, Emerson Nines and Asher Nines; great-grandchildren, Teyonna Morgan, Kylee Beiermeister, Layla Kelly and Nathaniel Peele; sisters, Susie Brown of Pinetops, Sandra Haislip of Robersonville, Linda Deans of Fountain, Brenda Smith of Macclesfield and Vickie Jones of Greenville and his brothers, Van Letchworth of Pinetops and Jimmy Letchworth of Fountain. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Lee and Mary Susan Cobb Letchworth; sister, Doris Peaden and his brother, Alvin Letchworth.
