Richard Glenn “Dick” Brown, 74, of Kenly passed away Wednesday. His funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Dr. De W. Eakes and Rev. Kelly Smart will officiate.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12 – 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
“Dick” is best known for his love of family, church and rescue/EMS. Many lives have been enriched by his influence, outgoing spirit, sense of humor, humble servant heart and love of humanity and life.
“Dick” is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years, Kay Phillips Brown of the home; daughter, Sherri Jackson and husband, Todd of King; sons, Michael “Mike” Brown and wife, Robin of Wilson and Travis Brown of Kenly and grandchildren, Rachel, Meredith, Briana, Hunter, Jadon and Mikayla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Marvin Brown and Lillie Barnes Brown and his brothers, Willie Brown and Lonnie Carl Brown.
