Richard O. “Dick” Wright, 76, of Middlesex went home to be with His Lord approximately 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013.  A graveside funeral service will be conducted 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, 14518 Taylors Mill Rd., Middlesex, NC.  The Rev. Kenneth D. Benton will officiate.

The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church and other times at the home.

Dick was born September 13, 1937 in Hopewell, VA.  He resided at 10129 Smith Road, Middlesex.  He will be greatly missed and thought of often with loving memories by his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife of almost 57 years, Lacie E. Wright; two daughters, Tanya Dale of Archer Lodge and Tracie Curnell of Middlesex;  two sons, Tony Wright and wife, Debbie of Louisburg and Todd Wright and wife, Tanya of Raleigh; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Pat Wilson and husband, Jimmie of Houston, TX; and two brothers, William L. Wright and wife, Joyce of Peru, IN and Luther A. Wright of Richmond, VA.

Dick was preceded in death by his daughter, Tami Morton; two brothers and one sister.
