Robert Lee “Bob” Evans

Robert Lee Evans July 23, 1944 – May 16, 2018 Robert Lee “Bob” Evans, 73, of Wilson died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Wilson Medical Center. Mr. Evans was born July, 23, 1944, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, son of the late Benjamin and Helen Streeter Evans. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed with Lance until his retirement. Bob enjoyed surf fishing and playing golf, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son, Tommy, and stepdaughter, Angela Biddle. Survivors include his wife, Beckie Evans; son, Tim Evans, and wife Mandy of Wilson; brother, Tom Evans, of Marietta, Georgia; sister, Thalia Keeney, of Warren, Pennsylvania; and stepson, Kevin Biddle, of Tarboro. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Joyner’s Funeral Home. Inurnment with military honors will be at noon on Wednesday in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
