Robert Godwin September 8, 1930 – January 3, 2013 Robert Godwin, 82, of Wilson passed away Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday in Black Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Robert is survived by his daughters, Susan Godwin Proctor of Tarboro, Tracy Godwin of Tarboro and Cindy Raye Godwin of Elm City; his sons, Robert Kerry Godwin and wife, Rebecca of Garner, Michael Godwin of Tarboro and Todd Godwin of Tarboro; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sisters, Mary Lee Godwin Timmons of FL and Josephine Nance of FL and his brother, Clifton Godwin He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Godwin and Mary Elizabeth Godwin.
