Robert Eugene Haynes August 18, 1971 – June 5, 2014

Robert Eugene Haynes, 42, of Selma passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Rex Hospital, Raleigh, NC. A memorial service will be conducted 4 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Pastor Andy Raynor will officiate.

Robert was born August 18, 1971 at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. He graduated from Lake Howell High School in Orlando, FL in 1989. Robert worked as a Loan Specialist with Wells Fargo and was a member of Wilson Presbyterian Church (PCA). He was a loving husband, father, and friend.

Robert is survived by his wife, Lorraine “Gennie” Haynes; his daughters, Alexis Haynes and Ashlyn Haynes, and his son, Bryson Haynes all of the home; his mother, Debra Girton and husband, Gil of Jonesboro, TN; his father, Kenneth E. Haynes of Jesup, GA; his sister, Gwen Perkins of Johnson City, TN; his brothers, Matthew Haynes of Charleston, SC, Greg Girton of Houston, Texas, and Jason Haynes of Germany; a number of nieces and nephews; his in-laws, Norman and Linda Evans of New Bern; and his brothers-in-law, Daniel Evans of Newnan, GA and Jeremy Evans of Charleston, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Wilson Presbyterian Church (PCA), PO Box 8115, Wilson, NC 27893 for the Haynes Benevolence Fund.
