Robert Donald Simpson November 12, 1934 – June 16, 2021 Robert Donald Simpson, 86 of Lucama passed away Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Buckhorn Cemetery, Kenly. Donald Walston will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Robert is survived by his wife, Mell Simpson; daughter, Gail Simpson Morris and husband, Robert T. Jr. of Raleigh; son, Robert Donald Simpson, Jr. of Lucama; grandchildren, Caroline, Thomas and wife, (Amber), Brooke, Taylor, Rob and wife, (Leigh Anna), and ten great-grandchildren.
