Robert Forbes Whitley, 58, of Wilson passed away Monday peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and kids.  His memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  The Pastor Steve Strickland will officiate.   The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of his daughter, Shannon DuSablon.   Robert is survived by his wife, Pamela Sue Whitley of the home; daughter, Shannon DuSablon and husband, Gabriel of Bailey; son, Ashley Forbes Whitley of Sims; his granddaughters, Ava DuSablon and Gabriella DuSablon and grandson, Jake Whitley; brother, John Hassell Whitley of Wilson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Howard and Betty Murphy, Jr. of Wilson; his nieces, Amber Whitley and Catherine Murphy and nephew, Tyler Whitley and the Don Bulluck Chevrolet Family in Rocky Mount.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcellus Forbes Whitley and Dona Elizabeth Brantley Whitley.   Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to the SMOC, Southeastern Medical Oncology Center, 2817 Wooten Boulevard, Wilson, NC  27893.   Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
