Rodney Daron Mooring

Rodney Daron Mooring, 57, of Black Creek passed away Friday, April 11, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025 in Black Creek Town Cemetery, Black Creek. Rev. Jerome Mozingo will officiate.

The family will receive friends following the service Tuesday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of his son, Chad.

Rodney is survived by his son, Chad Mooring; brother, Randy Mooring; cousins, Toby Mooring and wife, Lisa, and Jeremy Mooring; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Ferrell and Hayes, his fur baby and constant companion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Michelle Ferrell Mooring; parents, Rudolph “Doc” and Margie Mooring, and his father-in-law, Johnnie Ferrell.
